I am continually working on a notebook with edible plants in my area along with their medicinal uses (if they have any) and some recipes.
I have also included some home remedies for some common pests like lice, fleas, mosquitoes, ringworm, etc.
Again, I do this, not because I am an all natural herbal remedy lover, but because I know that when SHTF there may be circumstances that may wipe out my stash (fire, flood, thieves, government, just running out, etc.) and I also need to have these recipes ready somewhere for easy access.
Many of these things are specific to the area I live in and some are not.
I suggest everyone start their library with things they will need when SHTF like manuals, how to books, etc.
I have had to split this post into 2 parts to fit it all.
I have omitted the section on acorns (an excellent source of food and other uses) because i have already posted it.
