Great ideas and all But you may want to look into something more efficient in the future, Since these batteries will not be fully charged most of the time and you may want to use those lights i would look into something about the same price but like i said MORE EFFICIENT

Examples:

Build one

Or start getting a solar arrangement slowly, To run lights and small electronics.

Just my 2 cents don't shoot the messenger :D

Deffinately bugging the wife for batt charger...... May as well go for a solar cell phone charger while we're at it.

At Radio Shack,I recently purchased a two AA emergency charger that works for recharging anything that uses either IPhone,a Micro USB,or a Mini USB jack.
It was only$8.99,and works really well using Rayovac 16X NiMH,AA rechargable's.
Though abit expensive, they last alot longer, and put out more juice than any other brand I've tried.
I sometimes use the solar garden lights to recharge the AA batteries when the need arises.
