What can you make/ or have you made out of 2 liter pop bottles ?

Ill start :

I took alot of them for keeping water on my shrubs out by my fence cause it was a pain in the butt to keep watering them because i am out on an acre they are over 150' away. So i cut bottoms off them and flipped upside down and put small piece of 1/2" smurf tube in the ground as close to the shrub as i could and put the pop bottle top side onto the 1/2" smurf tube and fill with water every 2 days.. Ill have angelz take pictures..

never did it myself but have heard you can cut the top off, invert it, glue it back onto the bottle upside down, and you have a minnow trap. just sink it with some bait then use another bottle as a float so you can find it again later.

also, cut the bottom off, invert it, attach it to the top. fill with bird seed and you have a bird feeder.

Waterers for the rabbits and chickens. The rabbits were easy. I took the pop bottle and put the water spout off my smaller waterer on the 2 liter bottle. Lot more water for the little bunnies, less time to take care of them. The chicken waterer was a little harder. Took some boards, made a small box. Cover a portion of the box with another piece of wood. Cut a hole in the top board and dup the 2 liter bottle in the hole. You have to pay attention to the depth so that it will self feed when the water gets low. Didn't work out too well though. The outfit was top heavy and it fell over. But you get the idea.

I can think of a couple of uses but they are purely SHTF survival uses that would be considered "illegal" in a pre-SHTF society.

I used to have a set up as a kid where you screw some fins where the cap goes. Then you fill the bottle 2/3 with water. You then snap the launch pad/pump base on the neck/mouth of the bottle, and turn it upright.I'd pump it up about 20 times, and hit the launch button. The literal bottle rocket would almost go out of sight,it shot so high. As I got older I'd take a 2'ft piece of garden hose and hose clamp it to the neck of the bottle, and then cut off the botton of the bottle to make a beer bong. Now with the same set up I will use it as a funnel once in a while. 2 liter bottles are great for storage for grains like rice, corn, weat, and other such food stuffs.Matt :-)

You get 2' of plastic tubing make sure it can be threaded onto the mouth of the bottle thread it onto the bottle. Cut the bottom off of the bottle, fold tubing in half, hold the bottle upside down fill with beer and place the end of the hose in your mouth and raise the bottle you can drink 2 liters in like a second.

I use them to store extra water in for my preps. I also have put rice or pasta in them for long term storage. Another thing I've done is fill them with water and then invert them into the soil in a planter to keep the soil watered.
