Un Usual Uses of Epson Salt by www.SHTFM.com

Epson Salt or Magnesium Sulfate MG SO 4 * 7H2O

Laxative : ADULTS and children 12 YRS or OLDER 1/2 glass of water 1 to 2 teaspoons, CHILDREN 6 yrs to 12 yrs 1/2 to 1 teaspoon in 1/2 glass of water

Fertilizer : Sprinkle weekly on vegetables, houseplants or flowers.

Slug Prevention : Sprinkle around garden to prevent slugs

Makes Insulin more effective : This salt also increases the effectiveness of Insulin, helping to lower the risk or severity of Diabetes.

Splinters : Soak in Epsom salt, it will draw out the splinter.



DO NOT USE ON :
Sage : Do not apply! This herb is one of the few plants that doesn't like Epsom Salt.

I make bath salts with them, but they are good to add to a bath when you have sore muscles. If you have a scrape or surface injury, soaking the affected area will help prevent infections and ease bruising.
