I just finished the book last night. I should have had it done way before now but life interrupted things. This book is a quick read but one that I wanted to take my time in doing so and soaking in all the action and story lines.

The action in the book has a lot of depth but its the depth to each story line that makes it all work. I liked that in the book and I liked that it was not just your typical zombie book. Among the Living dealt with the darker side of life. The darker side ranged from losing a child, music, drugs and the darker side of sex. The sex part was not over the top of being to graphic it was just enough to know what was and is going on.

The book did have a few gamer errors but nothing that made the book un-readable. I like the way it ended and I think it left room for a part two if the author chose to do so.

This was the authors first novel and one that I'm sure will shoot him into the world of writing more books and becoming an author we all will be talking about now and in the future.

I think this book could be turned into a movie with no problem.
