I know of course everyone well i hope everyones first thought is your mind and you are absolutely RIGHT. Good job.
Now aside from that this is a topic to give others ideas about something they may want to check into.for example Like if you put down knife also put why, what brand, what makes it different than others. Also add anything extra like the bag you have, water bottle/canteen you carry and why. Anything that you have a preety good idea will work for anyone and want let them down.
What is your favorite/Best survival tool?

I'll use up the most obvious answer: a) This site and b) My brain....now we can get to the answers that freedom is looking for....after the above, I would say my home-made solar oven/dehydrator..Because it has made me become more self-reliant and confident that I can really do this thing.

My Fav would be Multi tool Pliers ... I've carried a couple brands and wouldn't really favor Gerber or Leatherman ... haven't had real experience with other 'top brands' such SOG or Buck tool but I'd assume they're quality ... I've had 'no name's' in the $10 - 20 range that go into the you get what you pay for ... so if you're going to use it as a serious tool spend the extra $$$ currently on the hip is a Leatherman Blast ( +/- $70 ) ... my fav would prob. be a Gerber 600 that has the replacable jigsaw blade was lost and wasn't able to find a replacement as timely as i got the leatherman and felt it's become enough essential part of my job ( EMT ) that i find it's used a few times a week ... only reason i give the Gerber a bit of an edge is I have a good story to go with it ( able to cut chain link fence which I did in the course of a rescue with rapidly rising flood waters ) .
