Mr Bill here. Just wanted to say hello. We (my DW, son and various family members) are residing in N.E. Georgia, not far enough from the Big A. We've been preparing for a SHTF event for most of our lives through the teachings of Grand Parents and Aunts and Uncles. Brought up learning to hunt and fish and generally survive by our wits and our faith. Served in the U.S. Army '65 thru '68, retired in '99, back in the work force in '03. We hope to continue our education here and maybe do a little educating as well.

I bet you learned some important things from your relatives, being that some of them probably had to live in some difficult times and survival was not easy.

Yes I did learn allot from my relatives. You know, It seems as though my childhood and my life thus far has been tailored towards surviving in a post-SHTF world. I feel pretty fortunate to have had family around to teach and coach whenever they could. I in turn have passed as much on to my children, nieces and nephews as they want to hear. The times have changed as they always do and the values in our society seem to have taken on quite a few undesirable twists. I believe we are well on the road to the worst times our country has ever seen. But hey, that's what we are preparing for,right? I'm looking forward to learning as much from you folks as I can. That's what is great about an open exchange of ideas. You don't ever stop learning. TWYL,mb
