I just went into the doctor for a tetnus booster and while there asked about the flu shot for the coming year. My doctor was very happy to inform me that not only would the regular flu shot contain the anticipated 3 most common flu strains, but will also contain the swine flu. This was very exciting to her!

I never did trust these annual flu shots. Funny how when a new vaccine comes out it's in short supply just like some Christmas toy so everyone rushes to get it!

At the hospital I work at in NW Florida our Flu vaccines contained the typical strains (the vaccines change every year). We did receive a new 2-step H1N1 vaccine however.

I did receive a flu shot, didn't die, get sick, and am fairly confident there were no hidden government placed GPS-tracking nanobots within it. :]

Really though, most people don't need them and there's generally shortages anyway. So if you don't need it, don't get it. We never have enough vaccines it seems like.

Although it's advised for health-care workers, children 24-59 months, adults 50-64, nursing home residents, asthmatic people, etc.

I couldn't tell you about a government plot. Don't know don't care! But I do know that my entire family had swine flu last fall, no one died or even got overlly ill. Confirmed by an MD and everything. So I don't feel the need to get a shot for it. What I do find strange is the real pressure that went on to make people get the shot for it.
