I will be buying next month a new surgical kit for a doctor to perform in field surgeries.
Any suggestions on what will be best for a trained medical professional in the field, type and equipment required? The idea is if we get a doctor, we will have some equipment for them. Have already bought medical books, and other supplies, but it seems we will need surgery some time and I want to make sure they have what they need. Price needs to be under $100.00 if possible.
Any advice or assistance on this would be very appreciated.

Wow, Wulfin, an ambitious goal to say the least!!! A quick check of surgical instrument suppliers turns up this modest surgical kit @ $1,183.00. (see first link below) That kit does not seem to include disposable items such as: drapes, gauze, syringes, needles, anesthetic, and suture. That said, I'm not trying to discourage you, quite the contrary, I have some suggestions. There are ways to accumulate exactly the resources that will meet your concept essentially for free. You will almost certainly have to work with or through a charitable organization in your area in order for the suppliers to DONATE these items to you. You might want to contact your local MD, Dentist, Hospital, or medical supplier for possible donated items. The list of links below may give you a contact list of those organizations that provide donated medical supplies:

TY, Appreciate the assistance. I have picked up some minor surgery stuff already, scaples, suture (multiple types and needles), hemostate, forcepts, spreaders, etc. I have bee having medically knowledgable firends put togather a list of "Must have", "Should have " and "would be nice to have " items. Never thought about asking for dontaions (slaps self in head for not having thought of that first).
SAome items I know i cna't get and hold onto, against the law for anyone but medical personnel to have, but I will get and hang onto everything I can and put it ina big pelican waterproof case. I keep trying to se past just the immediate Bug out or the intial SHFT stuff and plan on what will be needed after wards to help who ever I hook up with. Part of the whole survival thing is to not only live through it, but to make it easier on those I deem worthy of assistance and to help bring back some semblence of a normal life even if it is much lower tech then we enjoy now.
