My deepest sympathy to Carol, and the family. I really liked Alaskan, ( Dennis), he was great, and a valuable asset to all of us. His passing is truelly a tragedy for those of us that went to him for advise, and knowledge. The family is in my prayers. ~ Andrea

Wow, I too am speechless. As one of many, I am grateful to have had the pleasure to read this man's posts, and get a glimpse of his life. He was a treasure of knowledge and wisdom, and among the first to welcome newbies here. I only wish I could have known him better, but his contributions will live on.
Godspeed Dennis - you are greatly missed, and heartfelt condolences to his wife. rick |

But a man is never dead, until he is forgotten. And we SHALL NOT allow that to happen. |

Thanks for that RR.
Carol is sending me a photo of him to put on the wall of our computer room, so he certainly won't be forgotten here. ......Bid... When in doubt, apply rule ·223 or ·308 -- unless you have a more preferred calibre.

I send my condolence to Carol.I dont know if I've met Dennis&Carol or not,but I more than likely did at least in passing when I lived in Seward.I lived there from 5/94-10/95,and 3/96-12/96.I lived in a tent/camp outside town both times I stayed there, and the people of Seward were all very hospitable to a chechaco from Florida.I feel bad that I had sent a PM to Dennis before I read this thread.I was wanting to know what changes there had been since I left.
I want to die in my sleep just like my Grandpa, not yelling and screaming like the passengers in his car. ""I'm the one you go to when something absolutely has to go"Kaaboommm"!!!!""

Matt, I'm in contact with Carol and I know she'll appreciate your condolences. She is doing fine and keeping herself really busy with the plant business, though naturally enough misses the old fart a lot. Says that on occasions she still talks to him as if he was still there, and I guess if he's in her heart he is still there.
