Ladies,

What should a guy know about feminine hygiene?
I have a wife and 2 teenage daughters.
I thought my wife was on board with my prepping, however, she has yet to stock up on the products that would be needed. I have asked her time and time again to please buy double and put one away. She never does.
I know they use pads and napkins only, no tampons.
If a guy were to go out to a store what should I get? Would I need to buy the exact same brand that they have under the sink? Or could I get by with something else that is less in price?
I was at the Dollar Tree store over the weekend and I saw that they had little packets for, well, a Dollar.
I know that Dollar Tree items are a lot of China made stuff. Would these be safe for my girls?
How much do I need to buy for 2 teenage girls?
Oh, and my wife is on her own in this situation.

ok, my opinion is to go to the dollar tree and toss in the biggest packs they have and then a bunch of the smaller/thinner ones, most of them are the same these days. yeah, they have heavy, light and all that stuff, mini's and maxi's yada yada yada...but just start a "drawer" in your prep room and pick up whatever you can find. If a woman changes her pad 6 times a day (maybe less) and a monthly lasts 5 days, that is 30 pads a month per woman....so, I'm thinking that anything your get will be better than nothing and thats what they will have if you don't get them. You've asked, she didn't do it, now she lives with "whatever". lol
Seriously, in the old days, women used "rags" (hence the term). At the amount of "rags" you will need to take care of those women, that's just what they will be using if you don't go stock up as you can.
I'd stock up on midol too....all those women hormonal at the same time will drive you nuts otherwise.

Rice bags for cramps
Pads with wings
7 day yeast infection cream
Under arm Deoderant

:D she's the "baby" and 23. Her older sister got pregnant at 19 and she got stuck with a lot of baby sitting duty, she's real sensitive about that kind of thing. (she calls her nephew "birth control")

I do have a great family...5 adult kids, all as whacky as they come, full of personality. One special needs that does ok on his own, one "Dudley DooRight" type cop, his twin the type A prone to hysterics math geek, the girlie girl with her two little boys (the two middle girls are drama queens), and the baby...who I doubt if we'll ever get rid of until she finds a prepper guy of her own. (if ya know one, let me know! lol)
All but the type A are preppers of a sort...they plan to come here if tshtf. SOME might actually be a help. lol But ya gotta love 'em and that's one of the reasons I prep.
