I have wanted a ghillie suit for a while and daughter and I are thinking of making them. We recently heard of a design we are interested in.
The body is more of a cape, than a pants suit type. It has a hood and the hood comes down over the face, so while sitting, you are basically in your own tent. The material is a light weave mesh and ragged loops are sewn in all over the suit. You can fill the loops with brush bits from the current area you are in, while just being ragged breaks up the line of the person/cloak.
The "cape" is held closed with a toggle type closure, making it easy to get in and out of.
I'm having trouble finding the right material and in designing the hood/face mask area though.

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

HP, you may want to stay away from the attached hood. My old one which I wore out hunting Coyote's initially had the hood and I cut it off because when I leaned into the scope it would pull back and either try and choke me or expose too much of my face. I went to a boonie hat and face veil which worked much better.
I need to build another one, problem is at about $160 they're not cheap to make. The Jute is expensive.

Idea, make your own netting, kinda looks time consuming.but it would also be a valuable skill.
I have been searching for net making vids and detailed offerings, you tube search found,

The good thing about custom netting, you select materials, you customize size, and you get to bond with family members!
I'm gonna have to give this a go!!
