Hope it doesn't cut my pics in half again lol(If someone can tell me what size is max for pics here I can prob fix them b4 I upload them). Seems to be a cool little kit and it's stainless. You can get the same thing in aluminum for 2-3 bucks less. I'll be using it this summer as I want to do alot of camping this summer. You can pack it all together with a top romen pack in the little pan and it all still goes together, so I'd imagine you could put a small stove in there as well.

Lemme know what you think,

i have one like that and i have an old WW2 kit and I have my backpacking kit. They all work pretty well. Seems like a solid buy for the price, but if you want another one, try picking up an old WW2 kit off ebay - they are pretty cheap.

That looks like a pretty good kit for the money - though I must admit I'm thinking in Aussie dollars - and I do like the fact that the components are round rather than the squared shape of military mess kits. (Gives the feeling of being 'civilised' rather than being in a SHTF situation, lol.)That said, I picked up a several aluminium, (but solid), 3-piece mess kits that are issued to the French forces, and found them to be very good. ($15.00 each.)
I'm trying to dedicate one of the pouches on my ALICE Pack to the mess kit, eating utensils, stove and a few cooking type odds and ends so that I don't have to rummage around looking for stuff.
When in doubt, apply rule ·223 or ·308 -- unless you have a more preferred calibre.

I was looking at those at one time but never did get them cause i have some gi kits. You may want to add some sugar and coffee in little bags with some salt or what ever your choice is, try to fill the whole gap up, YOU WON'T regret it. There has been so many times i have forgotten something i usually rob out of my kit in my truck or somewhere. Great buy though being stainless.

Maybe De Havilland floats with retracts. Anyways, I'll pack that like that like you said (good idea, thx.) I had written another reply but I think the internet ate it. I saw a little stove that would have fit in it all packed up but it used those little candle looking things for heat. I grew up in kodiak, and have lived in the pacific northwest for the last 8 yrs since I moved from alaska and I've never used a stove camping, or hunting that wasn't wood fueled or had the ability to burn wood for fuel. Nothing against non woodburning stoves, I've just never used them and in the bugout scenarios that make the most sense to me in situations that I'd be in,and where I'd go if it gets really crazy like it will when things go bad, being able to use wood for fuel makes the most sense to me, but thats a whole other topic.
Thanks for the replies,
Lost

Went to a local store yesterday and they were carrying the exact same kit for like 9bucks. Same manufacturer and everything lol, I felt smart.
