Now, this is what I need. I love a good robusto (dominican with a conn. shade leaf wrap). plus it's illegal to grow in canada unless you get all kinds of permits etc. they don't like anyone growing their own cigar leafs and cheating them out of their 300% tax on them.

Way to bring back nightmares johnny.
Gawd I hated picking those worms off of the plants! Getting it down from the drying barn almost white with pigeon crap was no fun either. I think those experiances are why I've never smoked. I am the grumpiest hippie you will ever meet. My Blog

I grow and sell Burley sets, but I've never had a bug issue. Actually did you know tobacco is sometime used as a natural pesticide ?

I used to pick it as a boy on my uncles farm in Alabama, .50 an hour, not bad for a 12 year old. It sucked actually; never ever get the juice from the green plant in your eyes...thought i was blinded. The old tobacco barns are still standing, just not used anymore You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I'm currently growing Perique in Georgia. So far so good. Harvest is just beginning. I am hoping this will be a unique variety that will blend well with a Burley that a contract farm is growing on down the road a few miles.

Thanks Johnny, I love a good cigar every now and then. I pick a few up every time I drive through Tampa/Ybor City.
