Finally got the time to start getting the final little bit of work done to my 1977 Super Scout II. Rebuilt the carb, now I gotta do valve cover gaskets, (-) battery cable, spark plugs, cap & rotor, mount/balance tires and track down a few gremlins in the headlights and wipers. BUT she runs great with just the carb done, even on 9 year old gas. I was nice to drive her again, even if it was just to the neighbors house.

Whine whine whimper whine a Scout whine. Green with envy.

Heck I got a fleet, the SSII is just the most valuable out of the lot.

Now I'm really jealous. I had a black 1200 for several years back in the 80's. My ex destroyed it.

Mine was an 67.

Ok, para. How do you destroy a IH 1200? Mine was rear ended while sitting on the street by a Chevy Impala going about 45MPH. The bumper was bent in about 2".

Johnny, sorry can't help. The SSII was the first Scout I bought and also one of the rarest. The Scout 80 was a wedding present from my father in law, the '74 has a 392/4spd I transplanted in place of a 256/3spd and the 1200 is our saving grace when the snow piles up in the winter.

Park it in a scrap metal tractor trailers blind spot. So close there was no time for anything.

Not that I think the idiot noticed anything until the trailer started to tilt sideways.
