OK so i JB welded stainless salt shakers to climbing hook like key chains so they would A) have a handle and B) have a hook. For use as a cup. But I just was trying out a new stove and went to take the cup off when water was boiling and the darn thing fell off !@ So I was thinking of trying something called quick silver but am open to and heat resisant Epoxies.

Any Ideas?

JB Weld is heat resistant, but it does not hold well to smooth surfaces. Try using after roughing-up the surfaces.

The quick silver I think you are referring to is actually called quick steel. I absolutely love quick steel and have tried it because like you, have had a problem with jb weld and heat. I never use jb weld anymore and I have personally seen quick steel hold up to temps above 150F and to pressures exceeding 13 PSI.

you could try brazing. it takes less heat and you can use a clothes hanger for the brazing material.

Silver solder will join unlike metals with low heat. (still need a torch).

I would guess you are trying this out just to see if epoxies can be used in a SHTF scenario?
