This morning I took Erika to the train station to begin her trip to the Airforce Training Base for a Junior NCO's course . Met up with a bunch of personnel from other units and the webbing/load bearing harnesses some of those people had made me green with envy. (Not standard issue stuff of course.) One of the best I saw incorporated a camelback and a good number of conveniently sized and very well placed pouches with a padded webbing belt, and still allowed for a full back-pack to be carried comfortably. I just gotta get me one..... All I need is a lottery win!
When in doubt, apply rule ·223 or ·308 -- unless you have a more preferred calibre.

You guys are issued some really good stuff Lumpy.
The Harnesses I saw were similar to the first vest on that page, but they are around three times the price!

The one we are issued is the 4th one down, ACU pattern of course. The best thing is it is totally customizable. You can get additional MOLLE pouches, move and attach them as your familiarity and knowledge increases. The web belt has a great history within the Military, it is strong, 2 can be attached together, many uses. I plan on getting one these vests for personal use, in OD Green and additional pouches in marpat.
