It's been almost 9 months since I've dropped/limbed/block a tree. Just spent the morning doing just that to 3 trees, a 40' Pine, a 50' Pine and an 65' Pine. Let me say this, damn I'm outta shape for this. I can walk 10 miles at 12,000' with a 25lb pack but there's something about blocking that kills ya. I can say I'm not looking forward to the day when I can't just fire up the chainsaws and go to town. My "new" (1976 vintage) 76cc Echo I just finished rebuilding cut like a dream and I even had to get out the big gun my 90cc Stihl to take the 65'er down. Haven't gotten a total cord count but I've hauled away 4 loads of slash and 1 full 8' bed of heavy green blocks.

Damn I really hate it when someone like YOU a77 brings up something like this. I hate getting "older".
A good plan violently executed today is far and away better than a perfect plan tomorrow. Better to fight for something than live for nothing. General George S. Patton

The way I figure it is getting older puts me closer to not having to deal with this crap so I take it in stride. What's funny is when I was cutting on a regular basis I could do it for 8-10 hrs no problem but I couldn't carry a pack for an extended period, not it's the opposite. There's just no way to get every part in shape unless you do everything constantly which for me anyhow wouldn't work since I can't backpack in the dead of winter and if I cut all the time my yard would look like a wood lot. It's going to be nasty if I have to use the ax, 4' bow saw and maul. I won't be moving for days.
