I was working just south of I40 in jackson the evening that a F4 Tornado that was on the ground for 45 miles was headed toward us. When I say just south I mean unions property borders the north side and We bordered the south! My wife called to warn me of a tornado warning for madison county. It did not look that bad but, we had some very bad storms in the area that day. As It approached the silence before the storm is the only words for it then it hit. I ducked into a bathroom until it had passed. Afterwards to get home I had to go that way to get home. HA no way it was total pandemonium. Cops did not have a clue people were running in the street the lights were down cars and buildings and debris everywhere. I had no way to get home but to go 20 miles out of the way. Now this was not marshall law but just to get home there were police check points checking Id to see where you lived before they would let you through.. End of that story.
