We made it through summer without any real riots.
Yeah, the flash mob things are like mini riots and if you're there, they seem bad enough, but think about it...we've a huge percentage who are unemployed and idle. A huge percentage who are in poverty. A huge percentage without moral values...and we just got through a hot or warm summer without any huge disturbances?
We're defying the odds, or all those giveaways are placating the masses.
so this means it's safe and we don't have to worry, right?

Yep, it does seem like we have dodged yet another bullet. It looks like just before the next election (next summer) is more likely. Especially if the lefty and union radicals feel like they aren't getting their way.

Yep, thinking about dumping all my preps. The King has this country running like a fine tuned watch so there really is no reason to prep anymore. But hey, it was fun while it lasted................

Although WE may be safe. there are people around the world HAVE experienced TERRIBLE times. 2011 has proved to be the year with the most natural disasters in history.. Record flooding, earthquakes, deadly tornadoes striking many places. Those who were prepared have an advantage.
So looking back on this year, I feel very lucky because so many places have NOT been. "A person with a gun is a citizen- a person without a gun is a subject"

With winter approaching in a lot of areas of the US, I really don't see the riots happing in 3 foot of snow very much, but I could be wrong.
I feel fortunate to have gone through the last hurricane with only minimal flooding in my home, many around me have lost their homes.

Everyone is right, I'm also surprised this summer has passed as smoothly as it did. However, I have to disagree with wulf. I understand the reasoning, but I would rather suffer the hardship while my daughter is young, with hopes that she begins adulthood in a somewhat stable environment, than things to hold off until I'm too old to fight, and she's bearing the brunt of a societal collapse. JMO, to each their own. BTW, rubies, you can put your husband to work clearing snow with his new toy this winter, and riot all you want!
