Opinion about the surfer killed by Irene waves...

An experienced surfer defied the warnings and was killed yesterday.

Another Adrenalin Junkie bites it. Oh, well, it was his decision. Too bad about the risks the Responders had to take, but they signed up...Maybe they are Adrenalin Junkies Too??

Despite the warnings that people were told not to go to the beach and surf, they took their own life, in their own hands. No ones fault but their own on that matter. They should have known better than to try and go surf in the storm. they must not have cared about their life, doing something so idiotic and stupid. Serves them right, Sorry to say that but was done is done. No turning back. Just hope no one else died because of idiotic decisions made on part of irenes path.

Accidents are one thing, but "Adrenaline junkies" such as this person, or inexperienced climbers who get stranded on mountains in snowstorms don't elicit much sympathy from me. Same goes for excessive drinkers/drug users/lifelong smokers. If you are careless with your life, you chance losing it suddenly, and may not end up dying in your sleep at an advanced age. More of a tragedy for his family and friends than him.
