Heads up for some. Our Deferred Comp managers just screwed us and other fund managers are likely screwing others...to me, this is obviously a move to generate fees, likely some sort of collusion and the fund managers that they got in there are trying to make a killing on what they know to be locked in money with investors without a means of getting out.

Having a hard time getting information on the new funds. Looks like they're ditching American (not the investment company, but the ones based in the US) Mutual funds.

So...as I bank on a range of possibilities, including if things don't go completely under and I'm in it for the long term, I ride things out with a huge part of my investments. You definitely aren't going to sell when it goes down if you have any brains, you buy if you're capable and when it goes up, you have even more shares at higher value. That's the benefit of long term investing.

However! The fund managers just informed us that they're changing to new funds...which means new fees, and they didn't even send the prospectus! This is dirty as heck, totally defeats sound investment practices and they're doing this for the most bogus of reasons-to save on fees in the long-term is bullsh*t, because the purpose of investments isn't just to avoid fees, it's performance of the funds!

I can't move to savings pool without locking in a loss...I've a choice of new different funds and can't get information on their performance and just a few ones that either don't yield crap or the one loser fund they keep which I shy away from-get this, the 'socially conscious fund' is maintained.

Not much one can do when it's locked in. Doing the right thing doesn't matter when both the government and business are out to f*ck us.

I'd considered putting in a bit more, to pick up some stuff thast was low and increase my number of shares, but this kills this, locks in losses. so I'm cutting off what goes in there.

I second that, the time to invest in gold or silver would have been months or years ago, the price of lead hasn't went up that much "yet", and if SHTF I'll be happy to trade you a gold chain for a box of ammo.
Can't see vary good, hearing is bad, computer skills suck and, my grammer and spelling are piss poor, I guess I'm just screwed.

Duh! Security first. If you don't have security, won't have anything else. The guns and ammo, an adequate amount, should come first before you buy your first can of extra food if you're gunless.
