When SHTF everyone will/may have problems with sanitation (getting rid of your trash).
Stocking up on some disposable things is OK, but think beyond that and I suggest you either make reusable ladies products as kelee suggests or you can buy the products from Lunapads.com (Diva Cup,Luna Pads,& Luna Panties) or some other manufacturer.

Think.. how long does it take a family to fill a trash bag?

Are we bunkering down with our trash? If so, do you want tons of trash with you?

There will not be any trash pick up today! We will either have to burn it, bury it, or whatever you do with it, it will pile up quickly.

We need to consider using things that can be washed and reused.

Go buy a box of the cheapest, generic tampons you can find. Show them to the wife and say "See hon! I'm preppin' for you!" She'll get the hint and remember to get her own.

Its like food.
Store what you eat .
Buy what they use now.
