Oh well it was just a thought.
Whenever any government becomes oppressive it is not only the right but the duty of the citizenry to revolt. Thomas Jefferson
I can understand how a person can look at mankinds inhumanity to man and say there is no God; but I can not understand how a person can look at the mountains and the stars and say there is no God. Abraham Lincoln ![]() No state has the inherrant right to survive through conscript troops. Roman matrons used to say to their sons "Come back with your shield or on it.". Later this tradition declined, so did Rome. excerpt from Time Enough For Love by Robert Heinlien |

Thanks for the bump Doc. I am hooked on finding one myself. Question: how do you get/find one small enough for your wallet as someone posted this possibility? Simply cut down the larger one? I need to research this more for sure....and are the welding glasses a must have? Is that light generated that dangerous to our eyes?

http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=wallet+fresnel+lens&tag=googhydr-20&index=aps&hvadid=6959469157&ref=pd_sl_4h7wf12jzh_b There ya go. Yep, the focused sun light would be very bright and harmful to your eyes. If you would not want to look directly at the sun or even reflected through a mirror, the focused light would be several times hotter and brighter. Compare the surface area of the lens compared to the area of your pupil. That would be the ballpark of the multiplier of the brightness. Just be safe and protect your eyes. I just recently ran an experiment in fire starting on a very cold (and windy) day here in Denver. Using just a 4x magnifying glass, I started some newspaper on fire is a few seconds. But the side effect was, that just looking at the bright spot of focused sunlight made my eyes dazzled and tearing for hours later. I should follow my own advise... I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear. MLK

The reply from this CraigsList poster is: he and I should be able to meet today (Friday) and he will help load the TV on my truck bed. I will dismantle it once I get home.
Thanks for the link to the welding goggles. RidgeRunner Out |
