It's a terminology thing, HP. A big ol' pot of "whatchagot stew" is much more appealing to guys than "leftover soup" even if the ingredients are identical. HP at my house the family knows my rule, you either eat what I fix or you can fix your own!  My poor husband doesn't care for onions, but that's how I learned to cook everything has onions and garlic in it. Now he just picks them out. Sometimes he even eats them.
