CFI: Very cool, I think I would need the assist engine at my age.
We have the Alaska R/R running about 1/4 mile from our house.
Have always wanted to go joy riding in one of the pick-ups with the wheels on them to scoot up the tracks at 50 m.p.h.
Thanks again it was a good read...........Dennis.....

This was a truly fascinating read. Many thanks for sharing. My wife read it and we both have the same suggestions for your friend:
1) Get it published.
2) Get it made into a movie.
Even if one wasn't interested in the subject matter it is still an excellent story!

Great story, thanks for the time you took. A good cold hard slap of reality from your story should be read by non-preppers. Taking it from the perspective of a trucking scenario, very original. Most stories have the characters slotted in to well classified sterotypes, yours shows the ragged edges of some of the characters that makes it more real. While I'm not the writer you are, I wrote "Short Read" with some similar perspective.
Hope to see more of your work. :gs:
