On the road I see maybe three or four guys or girls standing holding up signs about gold buying "We pay 20% more" and other information. There are radio ads, TV ads, fliers on the car.

I'm starting to believe that something bad is happening to the economy.

OK, is it like that in your area? I've not seen this in the bad areas that I've passed through and I've not been everywhere, so I'm wondering how wide spread signs are regarding gold buying and I know that on the news channels that aren't just local the ads are on air but do others have the heavy buying gold ads?

Yep, I commonly see 2 or 3 signs on an average day of running errands. Almost everyday there are at least 2 full page newspaper ads to buy you silver and gold items and coins. I ask myself this question: 'What do they know that I don't know?' I'm thinkin' that they have every reason to believe that silver and gold will be going up even more in the future. Hmmmm, strange...That coincides nicely with my view of the future.

These signs and com ons are present all over America, and any other Nation who trashes their currency.
The buyers on the local level are putrid manipulative SCUM who would pry the fillings out of Granny's teeth,
if she would sign a disclaimer.

These people have no intention of holding any of their daily haul longer than necessary to ship it off to his
wholesale receiver, who will pay him as little as possible to get his take and send it off to a smelter, to make
it ready for sale to the world market.

They have little regard for niceities such as things taken in burglary's , cultural of historic value,save
keeping for their collections, seriously valuable collectors coins and family heirlooms.

Please find a local Reputable dealer, and at least get his advice as to the worth of your goods.

Question is are they buying GOLD or just paper that says they OWN gold ?

The signs that I'm seeing are reasonably reputable commercial jewelers or related business. I agree with iamusul, the ones to avoid are the motel shysters. I wonder if any of their Grannys have Gold teeth left. Yes, Johnny, these folks are only interested in real Gold and Silver. The question to ask is, 'If there are that desperate to buy, why would I want to sell?'
BTW, the almost 20% drop in Gold this week was contrived by The CME changing margin requirements (just as they did to Silver last April). Does anyone think it's not quite kosher to change the rules in the middle of the game?
