When my mrs saw that snow
she said to me "you go -
I won't drink your beer
but I'm staying here
where the temperature isn't so low".
When in doubt, apply rule ·223 or ·308 -- unless you have a more preferred calibre.

Shin: Dont wimp out on me. I've got some extra parkas in the basement and insulated boots . Got some long underwear that would fit you.
Hell, it would be an adventure....

Well Alaskan, I think I may have to pass as well. For some reason I forgot about that cold. I was born in Florida, lived in Florida, and God willing, will die in Florida. Only left while serving Uncle Sam.

Like I said I live 15-20 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico. To me white stuff is beach sand. I do not even own extreme cold weather gear, never needed it. Never needed a wood stove, never needed a back-up heater, need a back-up AC and sunscreen.

I'll keep my vodka in the freezer and think of you the next time I'm sitting on the beach (probably Saturday).

But you can come down to the FloraBama lounge for the annual mullet toss.

Sainless: Thanks for the invite.
I've got a buddy that moved to Inverness, him and his wife keep trying to get us down for a visit.
I'm in the heating business, so winter is my busy time. Then in the spring and summer we run a plant nursery out of our home. Then in the fall the holidays start and the kids start showing up.
I havn't been out of Alaska for about 7 years and that was taking a boat down to Seattle and flying home after being there about 3 days.
My wife hasn't been outside for about 10 yrs. That was to visit her mom, who has since passed away.
I know folks here that will climb on a plane to go see a ball game.
Guess I just comfortable in my little corner of the world.

remember, when TSHTF, it's better to be cold than hot. when you're cold you cas always light a fire, bundle up, snuggle with someone cute, etc. when you're hot there's only so much you can take off. ;)

Yes, CFI, but naked is good. Saves on laundry detergent and clothes repairs. I could walk around with my U.S. Army pistol belt and sandles. I might wear a loin cloth if company is coming over.

No more of this: :laundry:

Yes and we can just jump in the water for a swim in the heat...

OK so north VS south hahahaha.... I vote to be warm. But would not mind visiting and learning how to live in it.. Never know what could or will happen remember SHTF could be anything.. EVER seen "day after tomorrow" ?
