I scanned the first few pages looks like it's well written and easy enough to understand. Good information also.

Australian Outback = Texas Hill Country? Well, maybe.... If you add a few of the snakes, spiders and other unfriendlies we have down here.
When in doubt, apply rule ·223 or ·308 -- unless you have a more preferred calibre.

I think something they should have touched on more was mental preparedness. If you panic when you have a power out that lasts more than a couple hours, stay out of the wilderness. You wont be able to handle lost. Personally I am more comfortable in the wilderness than I am in town. The better you are at survival the least likely you are to stay lost and here's why. If you are able to build a really nice fire and can just relax and enjoy the quiet, there will be a game warden coming by within a few hours to make you put it out and to write you a ticket for an illegal campfire, resulting in a fine. If your shelter can't be kicked down in 5 minutes, there will be a gov. official by soon to ask for permits and levy fines and taxes. I also avoid carrying a whistle, you will almost always be assured of being found by 50 boy scouts, all carrying whistles resulting in a whistle blowing competition all the way back to town. And If you find a nice quiet place to fish, you will find that as soon as you pull in 1 or 2 fish, 5 people will show up to cross your line and disturb your serinety, at which point the game warden will show up wanting to see your permit, resulting in having any gear you have confiscated and a fine levied. If I'm ever lost it's because I want to be.
