I currently have a well on my property its 45' feet deep and its a low flow slow return. In other words if you do a small load of laundry and flush the toilet your going to be out of water for about 15 min. To drill another well down to 100' feet is $3000 and right now thats a little hard to come by. Ive looked at taking my exsisting well deeper but the well drillers say its not possible. Im thinking of putting in a dry well or a drive point well becuse there is a lot of surface water but its heavily alkiline. Any ideas on this or on purifying the water.

It may not be feasible, but to purify the water you could use a solar still. If you were going to use it just for drinking, etc. it would probably work. It would probably not give you enough for laundry, etc.
How about a water softener? |
