Point is I use this and some others here do, so if you look at my signature it will tell you if i am online OR NOT.
There is a skype button ^ up there when you are making your posts if you push it then put your skype name between the brackets then it will look like this

We can also hold voice conferences with this and if your friend has this and they are in a different country it is free to talk to them thru it with video or phone without having to purchase anything.
I use this and you can get unlimited long distance phone calls on it, your own phone number etc. for real cheap.
