Recieved the SAM splint "set" I ordered. 2 36" long splints, 2 24" medium splints, 3 forearm splints, 5 finger splints.

Emergency dental kit with filling material, floss, temporary caps and glue, along with 8-10 other small "need to haves"

2 eyeglass repair kits

Army rangers field medics manual.

added another 1,000 rounds of .22 ammo
If by my experiences, mistakes, and training. I can help one person to gain the wisdom that will allow them to survive or to save the life of someone they love then I can truly say, that all of the things I have done have been worth every second spent.

thanks to a bonus hubby got, we've done a lot of shopping this week.
I got several cookbooks; a make-a-mix cookbook, a dutchoven cookbook and a book on using long term food prep items. I also filled out my cast iron collection with a large skillet and the cast iron lid, and a 5 qt dutch oven.
I got a few first aid supplies, including some quick clot.
We also got some ammo and a couple of new guns (since our carry permits just came). A Ruger 38 special +P, which is a new model and turned out to be something I couldn't use (nearly damaged my hand as it's grip was not comfortable. I thought I was being a weenie, but hubby couldn't use it well either), hubby got a 40 cal Walther semi. We went back and ended up with a Walther 22 for me, and I absolutely adore it! Another thing we felt was important was reloading equipment. He's been reading on it and decided it would be a valuable skill, so he got a reloading kit and has been working on learning how to do that.
oh, and I had ordered about 150 more pounds of wheat and it came.
Busy week for us!

Wow! HP, you sure put that bonus to good use.
Do you mill your own flour as a matter of course, or is the wheat only for SHTF preps?
If you do mill, do you bake your own bread, and how much could you bake with 150lbs of wheat?
When in doubt, apply rule ·223 or ·308 -- unless you have a more preferred calibre.

The gun show was in town this weekend so I picked up a few goodies:
almost 400 308 brass
100 30-06 brass
3 boxes of strike anywhere matches (can't find them at any stores around here)
some more sutures
another scalpel and some blades
a dental pick set and a mirror(the guy looked at me weird when I asked him if he had any tooth extractors)
A rail mounted light for the beretta 90-two
stripper clip adapter for ak mags
I also traded some silver for a remington 870 express magnum
Most of the guns and ammo were still way over priced, but there were some deals to be had if you looked hard enough.

THis week we got thousands of rounds of reloadable ammo. Lots of non food things from the dollar tree that were mentioned on past shows that are maybe easily attained NOW, but you never know in the future. Lots of first aid supplies, medicine, etc. Also found out local Save A Lot to be the cheapest place for canned goods. Since beginning to Prepare, I have gone to Sam's club for large sugar, flour, honey, basic foods. I will be buying the camp stove later this month. Oh, and propane too...

I've been buying food...dehydrated and freeze dried as well as canned. Looks like others are doing the same.
