Johnny, are these pages from your book? If so, how can I get a copy to keep on hand?

Man! That info rocks!
"I claim common law jurisdiction. I do not consent to this and I waive the benefit." -Me to the corporate enforcement officer at my next traffic stop.
"Before the dollar crashes we need to have a sound money system in place." -Giordano Bruno ...and that is exactly what they are trying to do at alt-market.com |

the salish works well as an all winter home if you cover the thatching with several inches of dirt or sod. by excavating the pit you can put benches and off the floor sleeping shelves in to make your stay more comfortable.

"I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is now controlled by its system of credit. We are no longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men." -- Woodrow Wilson 1919 |

The wigwam works well for a winter camp. When you dig it out for the extra headroom pack the removed dirt around the base of the outside of the wigwam, sloping it to allow for run off. You will eliminate a lot of the drafts.
If you build your fire inside, make a small ( fist sized) tunnel to the outside coming up under your fire pit. It will allow a direct air supply to your fire and keep the floor from being drafty . Otherwise the fire will suck air from the room creating a cold zone close to the floor. LIVE FREE & DIE WELL
