Bruce Willis is offering up tips on how to kill a wolf with your bare hands in a new survival article.
The action man tells the new issue of Men's Journal magazine how to impress women, what not to drink on a heavy night out and the vital information every father should pass onto his children - but it's his precise wolf-killing skills that will impress most.
He suggests the first thing to do when attacked in the wild is to "give the wolf your arm".
He explains, "You've got to lean into it, stick your arm all the way down his throat. He can't swallow it because he's gagging on your arm.
"You reach in, you grab a handful of something - guts, the back of its throat, whatever you can hold - and pull it out.
"And try to avoid those claws while you're doing it."
Willis insists he's a wealth of manly information like that.
He adds, "If I ever get out of this acting racket, I'm going to be (TV self-help guru) Dr. Phil's competition. Except I would be the alpha-dog side and tell you how to kill a wolf with your bare hands."

Actually when the wolf/dog jumps for your throat you tuck you tuck your chin into your chest/neck,grab the animals front legs(one in each hand)and snap your arms strait out as fast and hard as you can."Most"of the time it will dislocate the wolf/dogs front shoulders, effectively disabling the animal. The way Bruce says to do it will get your arm/hand crushed, leaving you one handed to fight the rest of the pack. Not a good situation to be in.In the PAW your most likely to encounter feral dog packs, not wolves.Wolves for the most part have a fear of humans, and will avoid us.Feral dog packs on the other hand for the most part have lost their instinctual fear of humans, and will actively hunt us for food.Matt

I tend to think a .45 would work well in this situation.

This kind of attack actually happened to my brother while serving in an 'un-named' foreign country. The wolf-breed attack dog jumped from a dark spot directly at his throat. My brother instinctively grabbed the animal by the throat and crushed its larynx...lots of adrenaline was involved...case closed. My own encounter with a LURP dog did not turn out quite so well...(long story)
