Well one of the things about desert is the clear skies which means if you have any elevation at all it can freeze any night of the year but my greater concern is the heat. It gets in excess of 100 degrees for a minimum of two weeks out of the year. However since I plan on building underground it should be ok and I have a great deal of information on dryland agriculture.
Whenever any government becomes oppressive it is not only the right but the duty of the citizenry to revolt. Thomas Jefferson
I can understand how a person can look at mankinds inhumanity to man and say there is no God; but I can not understand how a person can look at the mountains and the stars and say there is no God. Abraham Lincoln ![]() No state has the inherrant right to survive through conscript troops. Roman matrons used to say to their sons "Come back with your shield or on it.". Later this tradition declined, so did Rome. excerpt from Time Enough For Love by Robert Heinlien |

Underground Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Got a few books around here, somewhere, I think? Make sure the roof has a good barrier to hold the moister in, use a dehumidifier to balance the humidatie inside to your desire. Plenty of earth on the roof for the insulating, keep it cool inside! Do due deligence on the engineering of roof support. Do I see a fall-out construction? eight inches of concrette and 36" of earth, protection factor of 1000 add eight more inches of concret total of sixteen inches and three foot of earth pf 2000, this is better and safer. Great choice on the underground home, the green effect.
