Hello my name is PAUL and I have been a prepper from birth my grand parents and parents were that way when it was standard practice . I was raised to can all that we grew and raise chickens and rabbits . We had about 10,000 canning jars between my parents and grandparent and filled most f them every year. We had a 40 bushel potato bin and traded potatoes for a side of beef or a couple of pigs every fall, no money changed hands. Grandma baked bread every other day Grandpa would not eat store bought bread said it was all air. I married a girl who had the same values as I had Her mom and dad raised pigs and canned all the garden same as I was brought up to do. We had a 3 acre garden when we married and continued . Also had milk goats and hunted and fished. We moved to Alaska in 1996 and canned moose meat and salmon. Started a raised bed 2 years ago and now garden up her also.
