We get a lot of inject-able lidocaine that we use to stitch up dog bites and barbwire gashes. I work in healthcare and as we dispose of sutures that are out of date I keep them stocked up at home, how bad can they be cause I will soak them in alcohol. We also get good prices on gallon lots of Iodine and betadine, iodine being a little harder to get than it used to because if the meth problem in my area. This being said I dont recommend any one use any of this for them selves this is just my own personal pick because its the way I grew up. We didnt go to the hospital for stitches my granddad would do them at home with livestock sutures. The bad thing is a lot of stuff I remember my dad buying at the vet you cant do any more because of drug addicts!

Usually injectable vet meds are dosed by the patients weight.It'll say on the label how many cc's to inject for how many pounds.
A shot in the @$$ with Penicilin Procaine B,will cure what ails ya.Just be carefull,becouse if you're allergic it can make it where you'll never feel pain again,Ever!!If you catch my meaning.

Out of date sutures can be dry and break easily, gut sutures break down, and I have seen silk out of date that would not hold up to being pulled through skin.

Just FYI

I have Loads of Instant Ice Packs, I get Pain Meds from the doc for my Back and leg pains but Never take them I just have them filled and throw them in my Drawer.
My Regular Medicines I take for Blood Pressure, Low testosterone and Restless Leg syndrome, I talked with my Doctor and she Doubled all my dosages and now I cut my meds in half and store the other half for the future I have quite the stock pile LOL. If I ever got Raided they would think I was a Druggy , pusher or pharmacist.
