Will Washington's Failures Lead To Second American Revolution?
By ERNEST S. CHRISTIAN AND GARY A ROBBINS

The Internet is a large-scale version of the "Committees of Correspondence" that led to the first American Revolution — and with Washington's failings now so obvious and awful, it may lead to another.
People are asking, "Is the government doing us more harm than good? Should we change what it does and the way it does it?"
Pruning the power of government begins with the imperial presidency.
Too many overreaching laws give the president too much discretion to make too many open-ended rules controlling too many aspects of our lives. There's no end to the harm an out-of-control president can do.
Bill Clinton lowered the culture, moral tone and strength of the nation — and left America vulnerable to attack. When it came, George W. Bush stood up for America, albeit sometimes clumsily.
Barack Obama, however, has pulled off the ultimate switcheroo: He's diminishing America from within — so far, successfully.
He may soon bankrupt us and replace our big merit-based capitalist economy with a small government-directed one of his own design.
He is undermining our constitutional traditions: The rule of law and our Anglo-Saxon concepts of private property hang in the balance. Obama may be the most "consequential" president ever.
The Wall Street Journal's steadfast Dorothy Rabinowitz wrote that Barack Obama is "an alien in the White House."
His bullying and offenses against the economy and job creation are so outrageous that CEOs in the Business Roundtable finally mustered the courage to call him "anti-business." Veteran Democrat Sen. Max Baucus blurted out that Obama is engineering the biggest government-forced "redistribution of income" in history.
Fear and uncertainty stalk the land. Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke says America's financial future is "unusually uncertain."
A Wall Street "fear gauge" based on predicted market volatility is flashing long-term panic. New data on the federal budget confirm that record-setting deficits in the $1.4 trillion range are now endemic.
Obama is building an imperium of public debt and crushing taxes, contrary to George Washington's wise farewell admonition: "cherish public credit ... use it as sparingly as possible ... avoiding likewise the accumulation of debt ... bear in mind, that towards the payment of debts there must be Revenue, that to have Revenue there must be taxes; that no taxes can be devised, which are not ... inconvenient and unpleasant ... ."
Opinion polls suggest that in the November mid-term elections, voters will replace the present Democratic majority in Congress with opposition Republicans — but that will not necessarily stop Obama.
A President Obama intent on achieving his transformative goals despite the disagreement of the American people has powerful weapons within reach. In one hand, he will have a veto pen to stop a new Republican Congress from repealing ObamaCare and the Dodd-Frank takeover of banks.
In the other, he will have a fistful of executive orders, regulations and Obama-made fiats that have the force of law.
Under ObamaCare, he can issue new rules and regulations so insidiously powerful in their effect that higher-priced, lower-quality and rationed health care will quickly become ingrained, leaving a permanent stain.
Under Dodd-Frank, he and his agents will control all credit and financial transactions, rewarding friends and punishing opponents, discriminating on the basis of race, gender and political affiliation. Credit and liquidity may be choked by bureaucracy and politics — and the economy will suffer.
He and the EPA may try to impose by "regulatory" fiats many parts of the cap-and-trade and other climate legislation that failed in the Congress.
And by executive orders and the in terrorem effect of an industrywide "boot on the neck" policy, he can continue to diminish energy production in the United States.
By the trick of letting current-law tax rates "expire," he can impose a $3.5 trillion 10-year tax increase that damages job-creating capital investment in an economy struggling to recover. And by failing to enforce the law and leaving America's borders open, he can continue to repopulate America with unfortunate illegals whose skill and education levels are low and whose political attitudes are often not congenial to American-style democracy.
A wounded rampaging president can do much damage — and, like Caesar, the evil he does will live long after he leaves office, whenever that may be.
The overgrown, un-pruned power of the presidency to reward, punish and intimidate may now be so overwhelming that his re-election in 2012 is already assured — Chicago-style.

The sheeple still "believe" in the system, they still watch the dribble being shown on TV, they do not and are not interested in what is going on.
Case in point a short time ago I spent some time with a well educated 35 year old mechanical engineer, single, white male with his own home. He works as a design engineer for a fortune 500 company and is doing pretty well for himself. OK! Stage set; this gentleman never thought about ANYTHING that has EVER been discussed on this or any other forum of this kind. He is totally clueless about what is going on in the country or the world around him. When I described what an EMP or SME would do and mean his reaction was "I do not want to live in that kind of world". When I asked what you are going to do when not if it happens, he shrugged he shoulders and said "I don't know". I explained what an economic collapse might look like and asked what he would do when the banks are closed for a week which is reality is going to be 10 days counting the weekends. Again he shrugged he shoulders and said "I don't know". This is the mind of the sheeple, these people in fact the vast majority of the sheeple could care less and are not interested in thinking about what is going to happen. They will not wake up even after the SHTF, most will simply die. This is the true reality people, get used to it. I have heard people say that if a nuke went off, they would walk towards it, not run away, because they don't want to live in that kind of world.
I have heard people say that they don't want to live with out the things they have. I have heard people say "nothing will happen" and if it does, the government will take care of us. However, every day, I also see more and more people waking up, seeing that all is not well in America. Everyday, I see more people learning old time skills. It's almost too late for many of them and they will have a hard row to hoe when the shtf, but at least they won't wonder what's going on. I hear more and more economists and politicos talking about a collapse now. These people are sharing what they know. More of the old time politicians are working behind the scenes to try and get things set up for a change. It doesn't matter though...I have come to the conclusion that we will collapse, we will have some kind of a revolution, we will be attacked in some way (false or real or even by our own government). I will continue to prepare as long as possible. I will continue to keep informed and make contacts with others. There is nothing I can do to help others much, but I will continue to write my little friendly blog on how to prepare for storms and become self relient and hope that people will learn a trick or two. With a little luck (and a lot of hard work) me and mine will be around after the shtf. It's the best I can do.

Tiger, my friend, you know I agree with you 99% 'cept for this. Herb is right, while your ME hasn't gotten it yet, many of the 'little' folks like me and herb are 'getting it.' More and more are questioning the King and his continuing harping on the country--remind me of the propaganda of the Nazi's. They're beginning to see that the 'emperor has no clothes.' Are they ready to take up arms and fight? Not even close! Are they beginnign to prep? Yes, a lot of them. Are more paying attention to what's happening? You betcha. Last year a million crowded into the 'District of Criminal' to peacefully protest. Another mass march is slated for 8/28. We are waking up, slowly. Tiger you're right that the masses have no clue. But, they're watching their neighbor displaying the flag and writing letters to the editor and pasing out pamphlets asking folks to support the nation. While I believ the Republic is dying and nothing short of a heart transplant will save it, it is still worth saving and fighting for. We will fight, ballots first!

consteacher maybe I am just more jaded or possibly simply pragmatic in my approach. When confronted with a superior force, either call in for air/arty support, fall back and regroup or get the Hell out before you are captured or killed. I have seen the writing in the wall, I have been "advised" to get out with what I can while I can, so I am. When you see a Hurricane coming you have two options, stay or go. If the storm keeps getting bigger and you are 100% sure that you are going to be flooded by the storm surge, you would be foolish to stay and face certain death. This is what all of us are facing today, we can see the storm building and there is nothing anyone can do to stop it, soon the storm will be so big that you will be faced with those same two choices, stay or go. Everyone says they can not go for whatever reasons they choose to make up but in reality those are only excuses. The time is almost upon us all to make that final decision, yes there is some time left, maybe 18 to 24 months at the outside. After that it will be too late. A good plan violently executed today is far and away better than a perfect plan tomorrow. Better to fight for something than live for nothing. General George S. Patton

Many of us are in the 'I have no place to go' or 'I don't have the funds to go' groups. I'd love to move and do some farming and live a simpler life. I really would but reality sucks! So, like many others have said already, we'll do our best and bug in. The storm is building at a rapid pace, your guestimate of 24mos is way too generous. The sheeple I interact with are all looking at the November elections as their 'line in the sand.' They are prepping to various degrees and many are stocking up. Are we going to become a mighty fighting force? No, but I think the powers that be will know we were here and that we've had enough. If hundreds or maybe thousands of similar-minded groups combine and say no more, we just might win. Heck, if 80 can stand againt 700 and do damage and cause others to take a stand against tyrrany then we have a chance. Where did I read about 70 vs 700? Some place near Boston or something like that...

I no longer believe the US is a nation of sheeple. Even the moonbats on Democrat Underground are questioning Obama. CONgress is getting locked out, and like the article says, it's clear that law and Constitution no longer apply. I say fine! That means I am not obligated to follow federal law or regulation.
I tend to agree with consteacher, I don't think it will delay that long, and as I have stated, the US is ill-suited to become a police state. I am quite sure the Federal government has 60%+ of the names of those who have purchased firearms, and their addresses, but they still have to go and get them. I'm not waiting for them to show up at my door, so I can hand them over and be imprisoned or killed in the process. As for the US, targets are quie soft and there isn't the personnel loyal to Obama to guard them. We also don;t need all the sheeple awake, just some of them and when Obama takes their "stuff" away, there will be little left to control them. Those sheeple loyal to Obama will demand stuff, to remian loyal, and still will be apt to riot. These same people often turn to crime for the smallest of reasons. Of course reality will be very distorted on the news. |

Fox you are forgetting something, a massive false flag attack. Imagine for a moment 2 10 kiloton Nukes going off in major heartland population centers with the "credible" threat of 4 to 6 more which have not gone off yet. I imagine for a moment what will happen to America. Overnight the country will go on total and complete lock down, no air travel, no shipping will be received, nothing in or out of the country. Take what happened in 9/11 and the week afterword and multiply that by 1000 times. The sheeple will demand a police state, Iraq style check points, armed troops on the streets, random ID checks, Martial Law and the suspension of the Constitution. This and more will become the norm, people will be asked/required to "inform" on any suspicious actions by the neighbors, everyone will be a suspect. America as you now know it will no longer exist. It's at that point that the militias will form and begin to conduct a selective and secretive war with the feds. The more these men and women accomplish, the more the sheeple openly defy Obama and his puppet master. We're not dead yet. I pray.

Sir many within the military have quietly talked about just that possibility which will be the start of the "True American Revolution"and the end of the United States of America as we know it today. A good plan violently executed today is far and away better than a perfect plan tomorrow. Better to fight for something than live for nothing. General George S. Patton
