(not including the people who do it naturally like Amish, Mennonite, farmers). I heard that only about 3% of the population were TRUE liberals (socialists) in this country. THEY just have better press than we do! :D

...better press than we do? No! They just stole OUR press and bought it out. They worship the dollar. The only sin to them is not having enough money. Its pretty amazing to read something like this twisted article and then realize who is writing it and who they are writing it for. This article did major damage, not to us, though we were demeaned, the damage it did was to our credibility in the eyes of the sheople. As the die off starts, this author will have a certain amount of blood on his/her hands.

Preparedness isn't some sort of tin foil hat idea. Its practical, do it yourself, insurance. In most cases, frankly, its probably more about comfort than actual survival. A few days without power, an ice storm, snowed in. A hurricane nearby. Some flooding and you're trapped. Most of our larders and armories are way overkill for that. But, once you start looking at it you realize, "Hey! What if the REALLY bad stuff comes along and keeps me here for MONTHS???" and then you start expanding. And, once you start expanding you start getting better at finding deals and you allocate money to do it and before you know it you've got 250 cans of food, 200lbs of rice, 100lbs of wheat and... Well, you know where I'm going.

All the junior preppers out there, take heart! Once you get a routine going, you fill up fast. Learn to rotate it!

"Before the dollar crashes we need to have a sound money system in place." -Giordano Bruno

...and that is exactly what they are trying to do at alt-market.com

Actually, according to a Red Cross study in 2009 along with FEMA and an insurance commission study, the number is close to 10% of Americans are preparing or prepared for a major disaster. I can assume that Preppers make up a large block of that. LDS folks make up about 2% of the population and are required by their church to prepare, so we can say about 1/5 of that total are Mormons.

Better to be part of this than part of the usual american culture. That involves over eating and laziness. More people are concerned with their favorite reality show instead of things that might actually change something about their cozy lives.

Speaking of over eating and laziness is anyone here familiar with a group called Lazy Boy and their album titled Underwear Go Inside The Pants?
Whenever any government becomes oppressive it is not only the right but the duty of the citizenry to revolt. Thomas Jefferson

I can understand how a person can look at mankinds inhumanity to man and say there is no God; but I can not understand how a person can look at the mountains and the stars and say there is no God. Abraham Lincoln

No state has the inherrant right to survive through conscript troops. Roman matrons used to say to their sons "Come back with your shield or on it.". Later this tradition declined, so did Rome. excerpt from Time Enough For Love by Robert Heinlien
