I see this as a GOOD thing--Please hear me out.
1. The higher Federal Court said that a ban of Sharia Law in the Oklahoma courts would be an infringement upon our 1st Amendment right--essentially violating the first part of the amendment: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."
2. This means that the higher Federal Court sees Sharia Law as being a RELIGIOUS law--one that Congress cannot prohibit.
3. That means that you nor I can be tried under Sharia Law by this country's courts--because to do so would be also be a violation of our 1st Amendment rights for the same reason.
4. Ultimately, Congress can never "prohibit" nor even "recognize" Sharia Law due to our 1st Amendment because of the fact that the Federal Court has just branded it as being religious-based.
I LOVE our Constitution!
