Farady Cage

All information about Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) and Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Attacks

I am currently taking all my important electronic information and backing it up on an external hard drive. I hope to get a cheap laptop to add to my faraday box so I can have access to all my downloads and pictures just in case. Now I just need to build one for my car...

I am interested in doing something like this myself.

The only trick is to have a completely enclosed space with no holes bigger than the electromagnetic wave. You can even run a ground wire from the frame to the ground and it should work... in theory.

a ground wire wouldn't hurt, but won't do anything to help either as the cage is just a shield. any charge blocked by it will dissipate within seconds. helot is right though, a steel building would work but it would have to be electro-magnetically sealed, especially around the doors.
