Installing Skype

If you intend installing "Skype", ensure that your 'puter has a microphone.
Have just added a headset to the shopping list. Our laptops, of course, all have mics, and I just assumed that the desktop also had one - somewhere. Maybe I should add a webcam too? When in doubt, apply rule ·223 or ·308 -- unless you have a more preferred calibre.

That sucks, I have a mic installed into my laptop, It came with ours when we got them a few months ago at a good deal for the laptops. Also we have headphones that have mics on them because old laptops didnt have the luxury of having a mic on it, along with bluetooth. :) Great on installing skype by the way BID! now how to use it is another question for you? lol

you can use skype as an instant messenger service as well.
It enables you to still use skype without the expense of a mike and headphones LIVE FREE & DIE WELL

I love Skype. I use it both as for instant messaging, and for video conferencing. I've used it from Florida to Chicago and Florida to PR, with no problem. It works great. It let's me know who's online and who's not. Thought Skype was old school. If you aren't using it, sign up.
