I have 6 family members either headed to sea, to have blue water under their keel,or those with small children when Irene hits, to get out of Dodge.
If your boat makes 30knots, and the head wind is 100 KPH or more , you don't want to be in the ''Protection'' of the Chesapeak Bay .
Either you go to sea with your boat, or you evac the area with your family.
Pray these people will make good decisions, and be on the lookout for those in distress

My son's ship pulled out last night, he will be better off at sea, being tied to the pier in a big blow is ugly. We are all battened down here in NC.

having been in several 'canes, my prayers and concern are with all of you in harms way. I must say that when the storm is heading to NYC that the media gets hyper. But let one hit us down here in La., we get a couple of days of coverage and then they move on. See: Joplin Mo. and Tuscalosa, Ala. Whenwas the last time there was an update on their cleanup and rebuilding efforts? Anyway, be safe and prayers going up. Prep and pray, the end has arrived!
