These should bea part of your tool kit, as useful as paracord and duct tape. Million and one uses from securing gear to silencing it (electical tape and duct tape do this as well in some cases). If your brain can concieve a use, it's good for it. best of all, all you need to do isuse your old blown out bicycle inner tube. Cut it to width desired and there ya go, ruber band on steroids! No need to spend a bunch of money buying "Ranger Bands" from the store.

They are ALSO good for fire starter. Being rubber, it burns easlily.
