If,... we have no crash, I still would like to move to my bol within the next 10 years and be off the grid.
If no crash, the KLR 650 or something similar will take me the 9.5 miles out of the woods to a job cheaply.I currently own 4 atvs, 3 are 4wd, 2 of those have winches. An awesome way to travel through the woods. We typically dont hear atvs until they are within 100 yds or so at the top of the hill on the back side of the creek where I am. Unless they are rapped out in rpms, they are fairly quiet.
for ntrngr, look for an exposure suit. Is what mariners wear, similar to a diving dry suit, but less the valves needed for diving. Has attached boots, can put a sh@t load of woollies under it for warmth, neoprene dive gloves to be water proof on the hands. Arrive at work dry and warm.
