Agreed 100%. The camo is for E&E and hunting, if I have to mingle with a bunch of people I'm gonna be in shorts/jeans & t-shirt so I don't stick out. Everyone has to pay attention and analyze their surrounding and BO path to determine what fits their AO best and determine if they want to hide or blend.

I agree with lumpy as well.

I just got a hunting permit for the first time this year, so I am just now getting into the world of hunting camo. I have several pairs of and different types of military cammies, deserts, woodlands, and urbans. I think I am going to get a ghillie suit. I know, I know, but it will work well for hunting and lets face it. I really want one. :pop:
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

Check you regs, up here if your in any rifle or muzzleloader big game season it's blaze orange. The only ones who can wear camo or a ghillie suit are archery hunters and small game.

When it comes to camo,I'm more of a fan of hunters patterns than I am most used by the military.Though I have a mish, mash of different mil-spec camo,my particular favorites are the Real Tree, and Mossy Oak branded patterns.IMHO they blend better in the woodlands, and dont look as out of place to the sheeple if mixed with regular street clothes. The key to making your blacks is to make sure their well worn, and to streak them with dust, dirt,or chalk to break up your outline.I just bought two bolts each of some poly/cotton blended material to make my own stuff. The pic color didnt come out right. They're actually mostly an OD green/cayote brown speckled mixture. .What do you think??I'm making a hooded gillie poncho with it,and some other materials I have.I only paid$5.00 a bolt on clearence at WalMart.Matt
I want to die in my sleep just like my Grandpa, not yelling and screaming like the passengers in his car. ""I'm the one you go to when something absolutely has to go"Kaaboommm"!!!!""

I think if you wear Civ clothes when out around people would be the best thing and to have an Alice pack they are common things and see a lot of collage and high school kids carrying them. I wouldnt think they would be out of the norm.

When in the woods never use tigar stripes it will stand out more so I think. I would look at OD green BDUs and woodland.

If your being hunted at night by someone with NVGs I dont think there are many choices out there to keep you off radar like that.

I would learn moving in the gear in the woods and at night and how to blend in. I like woodland and OD and I like Alice gear.

The new stuff like multi cam will be high dollar stuff and you can use the extra money you save with woodland or OD and use for other preps.
