Have made a few cobra bracelets from para cord. Even made a makeshift sling for a small pulley I have in my bob that can be used to pull game up in a tree or something. If I ever had to hunt large animals and needed to field dress them. Gotta love youtube.

Well I have ten thumbs so I’m sure when I try this later this week I will end up with 20 feet of cord knotted up on the floor while I weep in frustration while reaching for the bourbon. I’m already having flashbacks of the time I tried to make chain mail out of those rings like they do at the renaissance fair. It was not pretty. But I will try it because I’m a glutton for punishment it seems. Thanks for the great videos. |

Thanks for the vid's Johnny!
550 cord is such a great tool! I rank it up there with duct tape for its usefulness. Here are a few projects I have done to ensure I have a supply with me. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A boonie hat with 32ft of 550 cord. ( I have done several different colors of boonie and cord ) ![]() Here is My walking/defense stick ( I don't remember how much cord but I am thinking about 15-20ft at least) ![]() ![]() And here is a CRKT Stiff Kiss ![]() I also use 550 cord as laces in my boots. Some people recommend pulling the inner strands out of the cord when using for laces. I have not removed the strands and have great usage of the cord as laces (even when very wet). Dude! We gotta talk. I want to learn how to neatly wrap things with 550 cord.
Too bad you live so far away from me. I live in Lakewood/Steilacoom. -GrimOne-future -Fan Replacer post SHTF.
