My current kit is this:

SOF Ruck, Assault Pack (Condor), Jansport book bag (rides rolled up behind my kidney pad on my SOF ruck)
LBE set up with AK mag pouches, butt pack, and canteens, along with compass and pouch, pace counting beads, and first aid kit
WASR 10 AK 17x 30 rd mags, Glock 22 3x 15 round mags, Springfield 1903A3 in the process of becoming a Designated Marksmans rifle/hunting rifle
Seal Pup knife, several combat folders, leatherman wave, Cold Steel Kukri
Safariland ALS holster and Blackhawk drop leg SERPA
Several Camelbacks
my old jungle boots and desert boots

My AK has the XS Sitesystems Tritium Express, and Tapco sling system, and hogue grip no rails, no batteries, visible at night... Simple, just as it ought to be
Glock has Ghost Ring Sights
1903 is in construction still

Soon I plan to get:
Condor 7.62 Chest Rig, padded belt, and blade tech glock mag pouches
Full on Blow Out Kit on a Jone's Tactical tear-away panel
roll up dump pouch
ALICE attaching SAW pouch (for LBE)
More mags for Glock and AK (Steel, the Pmags I have seem to be a PITA to get in the well)
Ka Bar
Bolo Machete
commo equipment
chem light trip flares
Catoma Stealth or Eureka 4 season tent
Issue Goretex Bivy bag cover
Thermarest prolite 3
Poncho liners x2
Poncho (Gave my other one to my dad)

I believe this will open up options for me in chosing my gear that I will use and for what. Likely case, the Chest Rig will end up seeing more use, and that LBE set up will become my backup. I plan to use a dremel and under cut the back of the trigger guard on my Glock, getting my grip a bit closer to the bore, and with that I'll have to smooth out the finger grooves, then retexture the grip. MUST be careful when doing this. My grip on a handgun is that my hands are all up in that gun like I f*cking own it. That thing ain't moving, but I want my hands gripped closer to the bore. I may change my mind on this however, just depends on whether I think I can do it without screwing it up. Could be a very expensive mistake. I have a magazine release set up on my AK that I think I'm going to ditch. I just don't like it, and it doesn't do things any faster, in fact slows down my mag changes. I'll slap the dry mag out with a fresh one I think.

EDIT: Adding what I've got for 2nd line gear

On a pistol belt and blackhawk H harness, I've got 2 ALICE AK mag pouches, which I cut the top off. The buckles were sh!t and I wanted to be able to quickly get the mags out anyway. My Safariland ALS holster and a Bianchi open top double mag pouch for my Glock 22, butt pack, seal pup, and compass. I plan to modify the butt pack with fastex buckles. Much nicer for getting in and out of your butt pack. As for water, I will probably use a camel back, and add a SAW pouch to put in a blow out kit. The Butt pack will hold weapons cleaning kit, survival gear, and I plan to sew a casualty blanket, with a zipper, on to a poncho liner to make a sort of light weight sleeping bag. Rolled up with the poncho and 550 cord, this will make a light weight sleeping deal. Also in my butt pack, I'll probably add energy bars and such.

After putting it all together (for the 4th time) I grabbed my AK, slapped an empty mag in it, and worked with seeing if it all got in the way of each other. It didn't. Pouches are exactly where I want them, and my Glock draws just fine, not getting hung up or slapping anything. Once all was adjusted, all the straps got taped up, save for thebutt pack. But, then, I plan to redo it with buckles anyway.
FUCK YOU I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME!!
