Yeah use them to keep little stuff in like needles and hook. I have also kept matches in some with a piece of sandpaper glued to the side of the bottle for easier striking.

May sound strange but I work in I.T. in the Medical field and I have 100's of urine test kits we had left over when we changed lab companies. Each kit has a large cup about the size of a coffee cup with a hinged sealable lid and inside are 2 resealable plastic tubes the size of a 1/2 dollar and about 2+ inches long and a leak-proof sealable bag about 8"x14" and these things are great for gear. I keep some in my hunting pack 1 with waxed tender wrapped in steal wool and the other with a bic lighter wrapped in a few paper towels. I tested one of the small bottles with black powder and sunk it in the sink over night and it still ignited as normal so now when I hunt with the smoke pole I keep 6-8 with pre-measured black powder loads and 1 with wad. Always keep an open mind about anything around your POE that might get tossed out, you would be amazed at how much of it you can find a good use for

I use pill bottles to store seed for LTS. Add a silica bag or cylinder to insure a moisture proof environment. The silica comes in some of the bottles along with the pills. Seeds store well this way.

i also use emty 5 hour energy bottles for soap,mouthwash,conditioner.
Anything not needing the hole bottle.
Day trips.

i just start using the pill bottles for small stuff like matches etc,i wrap electric tape around the lid to leakproof it,works pretty good.Urine test bottles work great and they are biger alot stronger and waterproof.
