If they were aborigines they'd be doing well with 'floor'!
My entire view of Australia is based on five or six movies, so between Quiggly Down Under, Crocodile Dundee (sequel whatever), Australia, something about them taking Aborigine kids and putting them in a death camp, and Ned Kelly I pretty much understand your culture.
Lesson learned

In the past, aborigines that had been provided with housing often tore up the floors and used the wood for campfires, and slept on the bare earth underneath. Doesn't happen so much nowadays: Concrete slabs don't burn well.
"Quiggly Down Under? Codswallop! "Crocodile Dundee? As bad, but at least amusing in parts. (The sequel was much less amusing, which is par for the course with sequals.) Abbo kids in Death Camps? Nothing like it ever happened, though if it was up to many of the early settlers..... Of course, that wasn't much different to the way your early settlers felt about the indigenous people though, was it? Yes, it wasn't good, but I wasn't personally responsible, so I don't feel I have to say "sorry". That's just the way it was back then. Ned Kelly - a bit of an enigma really. Most Aussies only know of the folk hero stories, but he was basically a killer. When in doubt, apply rule ·223 or ·308 -- unless you have a more preferred calibre.

Geez, I forgot an important one that shaped my view of Australia...Mad Max!
..anyway, based on things like that and that recent bully bashing video, I figure Australia is vicious and brutal, unlike it is here in the US, and it's terrifying...there's even this huge and extensive 'dingo fence' to prevent them from infilatrating and killing you all! -GrimOne-future -Fan Replacer post SHTF.

You suggest we should move to somewhere safe in the U.S.?
Perhaps Camden, or St Louis, or Oakland, or Detroit. Or maybe Flint, New Orleans or Birmingham? And Cleveland, Jackson and Memphis might be worth considering. Nah, I think maybe New York City, where Michael Bloomberg can assure me of protection. When in doubt, apply rule ·223 or ·308 -- unless you have a more preferred calibre.

Hey, I know for a fact based on my extensive knowlege of Australians, based on movie viewing and a recent Internet sensation, that if you're an average Aussie, you're a non shooting, dingo fearing, horse riding, terrible driver who picks on the fat kids...and I'm a fat kid!
It's fortunate for you that in the United States, we're known for non violence and our worldly appreciation for other cultures. On a serious note...dingos. They're like knee high yet they're seen as terrifying. WTF? Yeah, we've had rumors about roving packs of chihuahuas getting out of control and killing the populations of small towns, but they're only rumors, written in blood. Oh, and them blue ringed octopus, those horrific spiders, and the crocs and such, it's terrifying where you guys live. I did see this other movie where there was a crock bigger than a Ford Expedition that ate like boats and stuff and people one after another! -GrimOne-future -Fan Replacer post SHTF.

Grim, "Yellow Dingo" is a common term for a coward in Australia. They tend to hunt in packs, rather than alone, but yeah, they can be pretty vicious when they're hungry.
I don't underestimate the Chihuahuas either, Mate. Knew of a Great Dane that got killed by a chihuahua.... Poor Dog choked on the damned thing. And as for all the other dangerous critters we have down here....Add to that the risk of being drowned in a flood or incinerated in a bush fire, and sometimes I wonder how we all manage to live so long. BTW, our movie industry down here targets the most gullible of people, and the movie you saw where the croc was bigger than a Ford Expedition was not a documentary. And neither were the Mad Max movies. (Tina Turner was Hot in "Beyond Thunderdome".) (If you want to see a couple of entertaining Aussie movies, see if you can get DVDs of "The Castle", "The Dish", and "Danny Deckchair".)
